A surprising piece of Hip-Hop and R&B history was recently revealed by Mopreme Shakur during a podcast interview. Mopreme shared that he was actually the emcee featured on Feels Good by Tony! Toni! Toné! — a role many fans may not have known he played.
According to Mopreme, the verse was originally intended for MC Hammer, but things didn’t work out as planned, opening the door for him to step in on the classic record.
“Feels Good” became one of Tony! Toni! Toné!’s most recognizable hits and remains a staple of early ‘90s R&B and Hip-Hop culture. The revelation adds another unexpected connection to the legacy of the Shakur family and highlights Mopreme’s own contributions to music history beyond his ties to 2Pac.
