Upcoming LeBron 23 Collection Pays Homage to MF Doom
With this being a milestone year for King James, Nike has been cooking up some crazy colorways for the 23rd edition of his signature series.
One upcoming collaboration pays homage to late rap artist MF Doom.
Nike has cooked up a hoodie featuring a photo of LeBron sporting his matte black face mask. The one he wore during his time with the Miami Heat in 2014. As part of the collection, titled “The Masked Menace,” the black-and-white backdrop of the hoodie appears to pay homage to MF Doom and Madlib’s collaborative project, Madvillainy.
The completed collection drops on March 24.

MF DOOM died on October 31, 2020, at age 49, from a rare reaction to blood pressure medication. He suffered a severe throat and tongue swelling. Known as angioedema after taking the blood pressure medication Ramipril, leading to a lack of oxygen to his brain.
James Reportedly Undecided on Retirement
LeBron James is widely recognized as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. And with a career resume as decorated as his, it is easy to see why.
However, according to ESPN NBA insider Dave McMenamin, the Los Angeles Lakers star remains undecided about his NBA future as he is unsure if he will hang up his jersey this season.
“At the same time, if James believes this could be his last season — something that sources close to James have insisted that he remains undecided about — he might feel even more responsibility to suit up for every game on what would then be a retirement tour,” McMenamin wrote in a recent report.
