Police Release D4VD’S Official Mugshot
Of course, after the photo went viral on social media, fans exploded with reactions to the singer’s mugshot.
“I hope the focus stays on getting justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The industry needs to answer for this,” one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“This looks more like a memorial picture from a funeral than a mugshot,” a second user chimed in.
“It’s such a shame when a good artist does the unthinkable. May Celeste Rivas rest easy,” a third user said.
Rivas’ body was found dismembered inside a Tesla registered to D4VD in September. The vehicle was abandoned in Hollywood Hills, California, before being towed to a nearby impound lot. After receiving several reports of a strange smell coming from the vehicle, police were called and discovered Rivas’ decomposing body.
But despite all the evidence pointing to D4Vd’s involvement, his attorneys, Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski, and Regina Peter, maintain that their client is innocent. And slammed the LAPD for arresting him without an indictment.
“Let us be clear — the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death,” the singer’s attorneys said in an email to the Associated Press.
“There has been no indictment returned by any grand jury in this case and no criminal complaint filed. David has only been detained under suspicion. We will vigorously defend David’s innocence.”
