Pusha T isn’t losing sleep over N.O.R.E.’s latest flashback. But he is making sure people don’t get it twisted.
While chopping it up with Complex about his new project Let God Sort Em Out with Malice, Push addressed N.O.R.E.’s recent claims about an off-camera moment that supposedly had him heated.
According to N.O.R.E., things got tense back in 2020 after he asked Pharrell a simple “Pusha T or Drake?” question on Drink Champs. Pharrell’s answer—“both”—didn’t sit right with Push, who allegedly called N.O.R.E. afterward to vent. “How the f—k is our boy doing this?” N.O.R.E. recalled Push saying. “Drake wouldn’t have picked both of us, Drake would have picked him!”
Now, Push is letting it be known that the story isn’t exactly how it went down.
“That same conversation I had with N.O.R.E., I had it with P,” Pusha T said. “I feel like N.O.R.E. made it feel like … I just had a conversation with him. Like no, it wasn’t all parties involved. I have no clue why he talked about it to that guy. It’s rollout time though, man. Everybody wants a part of the clickbait.”
Pusha T understands the game, but he’s not about to let an old phone call overshadow new music. He and his brother have been spending the better half of their summer rolling out their highly anticipated project.
In the lead up to this week’s release, the rap duo blessed fans with a sneak peek of what was to come on the new project. They released one of the songs from the upcoming album. The song titled, Whips & Chains, features Grammy-award winner, Kendrick Lamar and was released exclusively on Apple Music a day before the album’s release.
