Sheff G, the drill rap artist behind records like Breaking Bad and No Surburban, turned himself in on October . To begin serving a five-year prison sentence. Less than two months into his bid, he already appears to be having a tough time at the correctional facility.
Sheff G Says He is a Victim of ‘Inhumane’ Treatment in Prison
The rap star is serving out his sentence at Marcy Correctional Facility in Marcy, NY. In a recent social media post, the rap star alleges that he is a victim of “inhumane treatment” at the prison.
“Marcy Correctional Facility is holding me and kicking me out of the general population and putting me in the handicap dorm,” the rap star wrote on Instagram on November 19 (via Akademiks). “It is against my rights, and they keep threatening me about being a rapper. They took all of my s**t and cuffed me for two hours outside in the cold with no reason and no explanation.”
The rap star also posted the telephone number of the correctional facility. And implored fans to call the number and call them out for their “inhumane” treatment.
“I NEED HELP RESPECTFULLY,” he said in a second post. “Everybody call Marcy Correctional Facility and let them know what they are doing is inhumane and unjust.”
However, people in the comments section of the post were not that sympathetic.
“Leave the streets alone, kids, this is the outcome every time,” one fan wrote on Instagram.
“Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time,” another user added.
Sheff G is currently serving a five-year sentence after pleading guilty to attempted murder and conspiracy charges related to his involvement in gang violence in Brooklyn.
However, Marcy Correctional has previously been in the headlines because of incidents of violence, including an inmate being beaten by a prison guard in 2022, which led to the conviction of one guard in 2025
