Eminem and 50 Cent sat together courtside in Detroit for game 5 of the Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers playoff series. While some fans brushed it off as a nice reunion, others are speculating this could mean something more.
Why Were Eminem & 50 Cent Courtside According To Fans?
X user Diverse Mentality laid out a theory that he claims is backed up by trusted sources. The theory has two avenues. One where it could be just the two rappers happen to be in the same city. The other the beginning of a rollout of something fans have been clamoring for years.
“[50 Cent and Eminem] could be shooting the [50 Cent] Hulu documentary in Detroit,” Mentality said. “But what I think is they’re preparing a soft launch for their collab album. I’ve been told there’s a collab album coming. My source is very very accurate. Plans do change, but what I’ve been told is Em and 50 have a collab album that’s either being worked on or is completed…But my source says there’s something [musically] coming from those two, whether it’s an album or songs for the Street Fighter 2 soundtrack. Something is going to come out of this musically.”
The video got fans riled up quick, with some expressing excitement, while others felt it was just hearsay.
“It better be that Eminem X 50 Cent collab album AND a solo 50 album after,” one user posted.
“I appeared at a game with one of my favorite rappers are we dropping an album too?,” another user posted sarcastically. “I saw Eminem with Big Sean during that same game are they dropping a collab? And BTS should stay BTS, when they decide to publicly promote the album, let them do it their way.”
“Eminem i don’t like you anymore but for the love of god don’t do an album with 50 cent it’s 2026 we don’t need that s***,” another user posted.

Where Did The Theory Come From?
The rumors stem from the long speculated on collab album that has floated around for years between the Aftermath duo.
It’s important to note, Quake, from the same company Diverse Mentality, claimed the same thing last year back in August.
Eminem sparked the flame in 2024 during an interview with Shade 45, where he said he was open to it.
“That would be great,” Eminem said. “We just gotta stop bulls****** and just do it. I would never say it’s not possible, what the f***?!”
50 Cent has been pretty busy, but there’s clearly some interest in the duo reuniting in some capacity.
Fif just unveiled the new trailer for the fifth and final season of Raising Kanan. The highly anticipated swan song premieres June 12th.
He also has an upcoming Hulu docuseries coming sooner rather than later. The three-part series will reportedly detail 50 Cent’s life and how he went from best-selling rapper to multimedia mogul. Mandon Lovett (Origins Of Hip Hop, For Khadija: The French Montana Story) is set to direct.
