Turns out 50 Cent didn’t pull an April’s Fools joke when he announced Hulu had acquired his next docuseries. What some fans may have deemed as a trick, turns out is real.
What Is His Docuseries About?
The three-part series will reportedly detail 50 Cent’s life and how he went from best-selling rapper to multimedia mogul. Mandon Lovett (Origins Of Hip Hop, For Khadija: The French Montana Story) is set to direct.
Originally teasing it on April Fool’s Day, which left fans questioning its legitimacy, 50 Cent took to Instagram for a more formal announcement.
“Positive vibes,” 50 Cent posted. Focus on the win QGTM.”
What Has 50 Cent Been Up To?
Claressa Shields recently challenged 50 Cent to a boxing match. She claims she’ll drop an active lawsuit against him if he boxed her partner, fellow New York rapper, Papoose.
He’s also dealing with another lawsuit by his ex Shaniqua Tompkins, who claims Fif obtained her signature under coercion.
Tompkins recently filed a response to 50 Cent’s $1 million lawsuit, arguing that the alleged life-rights and book deals at the center of the case were never legitimate. In a sworn affidavit, she claims Fif pressured her into signing documents and points to a 2005 incident tied to the production of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ as the foundation of her argument.
According to Tompkins, the situation turned physical after she signed paperwork using “Jane Doe.” She alleges that Jackson reacted aggressively and threatened her, which she says undermines any claim that later agreements were entered into willingly.
