Over the weekend, Grammy Award winner Megan Thee Stallion announced her split from Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Klay Thompson on social media. And sports broadcaster, Stephen A. Smith, has taken major issue with that.
Stephen A. Smith Blasts Meg For Exposing Klay
During a recent episode of his show, Straight Shooter, the sports analyst called out Megan for exposing Klay’s infidelity. He also said that what happened in their relationship was not anybody’s business. While noting that she could have just chosen to move on without publicly exposing him.
“I’m sick and tired of what’s going on in this world…I don’t know what happened in their relationship. Ain’t none of my damn business. Ain’t none of y’all’s either,” Stephen A said in a cli[p caught by Akademiks TV. “But Megan Thee Stallion made it so this Saturday night. Why? How come you couldn’t just break up and go on your merry way?”
He also said that despite the alleged infidelity, he felt that Megan’s actions were unnecessary. Especially given that he has never said anything “negative” about the rap star.
“Why do we have to dog the brother out? Is there a wedding that I missed?” he asked. “This man is going to go down as one of the greatest shooters ever. And no matter how he lived his personal life, he didn’t bother anybody. And I’ve never seen him utter a negative word about Megan Thee Stallion.”

Over the weekend, the WAP artist confirmed her split from the NBA star. And accused Klay Thompson of cheating. Which she said was a “non-negotiable” for her in their relationship.
“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” Megan said in a statement to PEOPLE. “Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
