Vince Staples is coming back sooner than people think according to an email sent to his fans. The rapper and actor also had more to say in his email.

What Did Vince Staples Say In His Email?

Staples, now an independent artist, took control of his mailing list, directly addressing his fans on what’s to come.

“Over the last few years, social media has become an incoherent void, so I have decided to create more focused channels, starting with a private Discord server designed to improve the fan experience,” Staples wrote. “So stay tuned, because there will be both hijinks and shenanigans.”

But the key detail in his email came towards the end, where Staples dropped a hint about his next direction.

“That is all I have to say for now, but I will be back sooner than you think,” Staples wrote.

Staples hasn’t dropped a project since 2024’s, Dark Times, and kept his music output scarce since then. In 2025, Staples served as a feature on a couple of tracks, Joy Crooke’s “Pass The Salt,” and Joey Fatts’ “Corporate Thuggin’.”

Staples is currently gearing up for some international shows as an opening act for Four Tet and Skrillex.

How Are Fans Reacting To The Email?

Fans showed a lot of excitement when they saw the news.

“Yessss hopefully this year,” said one user. “New Vince staples album would be absolutely insane!!,” said another user. “I like the way Vince moves with this music s***.”

The vagueness of the email allowed for fans to speculate on what could be coming.

“Patiently waiting for him and Schoolboy Q to spin back soon,” said one user. “I hope that he officially releases that ALC-produced project someday, with new songs added, that leaked EP was dope,” said another user. “New (Isaiah Rashad) and Vince??,” said another user.

Staples move to discord comes as the music industry continues to shift fan engagement to forums and apps like discord to give a more direct experience without detractors.
