JT and Yung Miami burst onto the rap scene as the City Girls back in 2018 as the City Girls. The duo immediately made an impact. Songs like Act Up, Where The Bag At? and Season helped catapult them to success.
Yung Miami Opens Up About Future of The City Girls
However, even after enjoying their success as a duo, the City Girls have since split up and begun solo careers. JT has had success as a solo artist with hits such as Okay and Sideways And Yung Miami has become a media fixture with her talk show, Caresha Please. But even amid the long hiatus, Yung Miami insists that City Girls are not done.
“And I think we need that time apart. I wouldn’t just ‘off’ the City Girls,” she said during a recent one-on-one interview with Charlamagne The God. “We built this together, you know? Like we did a lot together. To just say that it never happened or just act like it’s just dead, you know? Like, it’s forever going to be the City Girls.”
Yung Miami also suggested that, amid their split, the two of them should go to therapy to iron things out. She also says that it will only work when they are both ready to move forward.
“Let us both grow, you know, as individuals,” she added. “And I think that time will come. And I also think we both have to be ready. It can’t just be like when I feel like I’m ready or when she feels like she’s ready. Like we both got to be in a space where we could sit down as adults and say, ‘Okay, we’re in a better space now.'”
At the time of writing, JT has not responded to the recent comments made by Yung Miami.
