With T-Pain being one of the highest-selling R&B artists of his era, one would assume that his catalog is worth a pretty penny. And they would be right. The Florida native recently announced that he will be selling the rights to his catalog. HarbourView entity partners will get the publishing catalog and Master’s rights.

T-Pain Set to Sell Extensive Music Catalog

In a statement to Variety, T-Pain expressed his excitement about the move. A move that he hopes will preserve his legacy.

“I’m excited for this next chapter and to partner with HarbourView Equity as they help preserve the legacy of my music,” he said.

“This catalog represents years of hard work, creativity, and unforgettable moments, and I’m grateful to see it continue to reach new heights. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.”

Sherrese Clark, the company’s CEO, and Founder, shared that same excitement.

“We are excited to welcome T-Pain, a true trailblazer in the music industry, to the HarbourView family,” said HarbourView Founder and CEO Sherrese Clarke.

“His visionary artistry and innovative spirit have left an indelible mark on modern music, and we can’t wait to collaborate and amplify his incredible legacy even further.”

T-Pain walks among the legends in the music industry. Many even credit him for pioneering the use of autotune. But although some may view T-Pain as a trailblazer in the music industry, not everyone feels that way. The Bartender artist detailed a time where R&B legend, Usher, accused him of ruining music.
