A$AP Rocky is continuing to rack up the wins this week. After being acquitted in his weapon assault trial in Los Angeles in February, the rapper announced some major news.

The “Fashion Killa,” rapper announced that he recently reached an agreement. To become the creative director of Ray-Ban, a luxury sunglass company.

Following his new deal A$AP Rocky released a statement, noting that he has “always admired” the company.
“I’ve always admired Ray-Ban’s ability to stay true to its roots while constantly evolving,” the rap star said in a statement. “So I’m excited to be part of the strong heritage and develop the next chapter for an iconic brand like Ray-Ban.”
Rocky already has skin in the fashion industry. He is also the creative director of the Puma x F1 partnership as he is often lauded as one of the best rappers in the game.
Following the announcement, Ray-Ban President Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio shared his excitement about welcoming Rocky to the iconic brand.
“For nearly 80 years the brand has been on the faces of the most iconic musicians, artists, actors and heroes. Shaping and re-shaping the status quo, leading cultural revolutions of all the times,” he wrote.
“[Rocky is] a visionary artist and creator. His ability to push the boundaries of the diverse worlds he explores aligns with the Ray-Ban DNA. We are reinforcing the brand’s values of innovation, pioneering spirit, and courage. Let the future begin!”
It’s been a roller coaster of a week for the hip-hop star. Rocky was recently acquitted in the shooting trial of his former friend and bandmate, A$AP Relli.
With the trial now behind him, one source says that all of Rocky’s attention is going toward spending more time with Rihanna and their two young children.
“They have lived in this stressful bubble for the past month. It’s been all about the trial,” the insider said to PEOPLE. “They are planning a family trip with the kids to spend some quality family time and to get their minds in a better place.”
