RIP Phife Dawg Tribe Forever
A Tribe Called Quest gave a high powered Grammy performance tonight. The most Hip-Hop show we’ve seen at The Grammys in a very long time. Not just Hip-Hop in a sense of the energy on the stage but Hip-Hop in the political message that was being brought forth. Busta Rhymes calls out President “Agent Orange”. One could only assume that Busta was referring 2 President Trump.
Tribe goes into their hit song “We The People” assuring that people that The Tribe is standing with The People of all nationalities, creeds, and backgrounds. This performance was about unity in a time where the United States is extremely divided from the top down. Music brings us together and Tribe hit the nail on the head with this timely song and timely performance. All the while paying tribute to the late great Phife Dawg. Hip-Hop was in the building tonight.
