Rick Ross Forced to Make Changes to Car Show Amid Lawsuit
One of his more notable ventures is the Rick Ross car show. The auto show takes place every year at his Atlanta mansion which used to belong to former boxing star, Evander Holyfield.
However, the “Blowin Money Fast,” creator recently faced legal trouble surrounding his famed car and bike show. Darris Straughter filed a lawsuit against Ross because the auto show was not made accessible to people with disabilities and mobility issues.
Rozay ultimately obliged and vowed to make adjustments to the event. Following his legal victory Straughter was beaming with elation.
“God is good. I was happy with it. It brought me a lot of joy,” Straughter said. “My community is amazed. Like, that’s beautiful. I salute him for that. I really do.”
The lawsuit came as a result of Straughter’s attendance at the 2024 car show. He traveled to Georgia from Miami and was promised a wheelchair-accessible shuttle to the estate. However, no shuttle showed up at the airport after five hours so Straughter ultimately just returned to his hotel.
Rozay Calls Out DJ Envy
This is not the first time that Ross’s car and bike show has been at the center of controversy. Last year he got into a highly publicized beef with Breakfast Club Host, DJ Envy who also hosts a car show each year. Rozay blasted Envy, telling him that his car show will never be on the same level.
“Since we are on our car show, DJ Envy, you’ll never be on my level. Envy, don’t nobody build cars to come to your car show. Don’t nobody drive from out of state to come to your car show, Envy. Da Beige Rage. You see? But make sure the people got everything they need, Envy. And Memphis, y’all better hold Envy to it.” he said in May 2024.
“Bow down, Envy. Bow down, beige boy. You a beige boy! And make sure my people are good. We been had these. We show love, for real. You just marketing.”
