Ye doesn’t play about his name—or his numbers.

Tensions flared just moments into a recent episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, when the artist formerly known as Kanye West abruptly ended the interview after clashing with the British host.
Things took a sharp turn almost immediately when Morgan addressed him as “Ye West,” prompting an immediate rebuke. Ye insisted he no longer uses his surname, calling it his “slave name.”
From there, the energy spiraled as Morgan tried to steer the conversation toward Ye’s public perception.
“For all intents and purposes, you seem very relaxed and happy,” quipped Morgan. “That is in direct contrast to your public image at the moment, over the last couple of years, led by your ferocious—”
Ye cut him off mid-sentence. “I already disagree,” he said. “It’s not in contrast. There are so many people and artists championing the idea of expressing who they really are—fighting through the war of being attacked by the banks—and still being here with this view, that’s the win.
“I’m in contrast to your contrast,” the rapper insisted.
Things came to a head when Morgan incorrectly cited Ye’s follower count on X (formerly Twitter) as 32 million (the figure is currently over 33.3 million).
“You’re not gonna take inches off my d—k, bro,” Ye snapped, launching into a tirade about what he views as media hostility. “It just shows the hate you put out toward people who put out love. There’s so much love in the art I create.”
Morgan tried to clarify his point, but Ye was already over it. He stood up, walked off camera, and ended the segment with a parting shot:
“This is what you get for now. We can circle back when you can count.”
