A$AP Rocky Says He Has a Major Announcement on The Way

Following his acquittal in his gun assault trial earlier this year, A$AP Rocky’s fans are ready for some new music.

ASAP Rocky Hints at Major Announcement

The Harlem native has already provided a title for his new album. It’s called “Don’t Be Dumb” and will supposedly drop in 2025. In a social media post, A$AP Rocky gave fans the closest thing to an update that they have received in months.

“It’s going to be a big Friday,” the rap star said in a clip posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, on June 5.

After the announcement, fans weighed in on social media.

“DON’T BE DUMB says the DUMB ONE Wayne dropping nobody listening to Rocky,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Now why would Rocky want to step on Wayne’s release like this,” one fan said, noting that Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter 6” drops on the same day.

“He’s finally dropping an album instead of a collection,” another user said.

When asked about the album previously, A$AP Rocky said he was in the final stages of releasing it but swore to remain mum about any updates. Because he knows that his fans are growing impatient.

“I’m in the mixing and mastering realm of it, but I think quite frankly, people are tired of hearing about updates about the album,” he said in an interview with GQ in February.

“They’re just ready to get this sh** you know what I’m saying? I don’t think anybody wants to hear where I’m at with it, how far is it’s along, and all that. They just want to hear some s**t to see where I’m at, and I promise I’ve got some new s*** in store. I’m challenging myself. It’s like anything, I approach it with a different tactic, degree, or finesse.”

It will be interesting to see if Rocky drops the album.
