Pusha T and Malice, better known as Clipse are set to drop their first album in more than a decade. The new project, titled “Let God Sort Em Out” will hit the streets on July 11.
So far in this in this initial rollout, Pusha T, is leaving no stone unturned. In Clipse’s latest single off the project, titled “So Be It,” the “Daytona,” creator aims at rap star Travis Scott.
While he doesn’t give Travis the dignity of name-dropping him, he does make mention of “Utopia” and an ex-girlfriend whose “lipgloss is popping.”

What is the catalyst of Pusha’s issue with Travis? According to the rap artist it happened in Paris back in 2023. Travis was excited about his new album “Utopia” and wanted the Clipse’s producer, Pharrell, to hear it. Travis met Pharrell at his studio at the LV headquarters in Paris to play him the album, interrupting a Clipse recording session. Travis played the album for Pharrell including his controversial song “Meltdown” — except he didn’t play the version with the now infamous Drake verse.
“He sees me and Malice] there. He’s like, ‘Oh, man, everybody’s here,’ he’s smiling, laughing, jumping around, doing his f******g monkey dance,” Push said.
“We weren’t into the music, but he wanted to play it, wanted to film [us and Pharrell listening to it]. And then a week later you hear ‘Meltdown,’ which he didn’t play. He played the song, but not [Drake’s verse].”
In Drake’s verse, he revealed that he had purchased Pharrell’s $2.2 million N.E.R.D chain and melted it down. Hence the song being named “Meltdown.” After taking note of what Travis did, Pusha became filled with disgust.
He added: “So, that’s where my issue comes in—like, dawg, don’t even come over here with that. Because at the end of the day, I don’t play how y’all play. To me, that really was just like…he’s a whore. He’s a whore.”
