Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unit Audio is partnering with Narratively on a new podcast series that will explore the early life and rise of the late rap icon DMX. Produced in collaboration with iHeartPodcasts, the series—titled Look Thru My Eyes: Becoming DMX—is set to debut later this year across all major podcast platforms.
Hosted by Jadakiss, the podcast will take listeners back to a time before global fame, focusing on Earl Simmons as a young, fiercely talented artist navigating the streets of Yonkers, New York. The series aims to chronicle DMX’s formative years—his hunger, his battles, and the experiences that shaped his raw, unmistakable voice.
Throughout the first season, family members, childhood friends, collaborators, rivals, and cultural figures will offer intimate, firsthand accounts of DMX’s journey before superstardom. By centering the story on the man behind the legend, Look Thru My Eyes: Becoming DMX promises a deeper, more personal look at one of hip-hop’s most powerful and influential figures.
