Tony Yayo has finally broken his silence about a viral plane altercation between him, Uncle Murda, and Ja Rule.
Tony Yayo Breaks Silence About Altercation With Ja Rule
In a new interview with DJ Vlad, Yayo explained that he and Uncle Murda were leaving the Super Bowl Weekend on Sunday. And someone tipped them that Ja Rule would be on the flight. But in the name of not “ducking smoke,” they still decided to get on the plane.
Yayo goes on to say that when Ja first got on the plane, he was “spooked” upon seeing him and Uncle Murda.
As Ja was putting his bags in the overhead bin on the plane, he checked the temperature. By asking Yayo and Uncle Murda if they were “good.” Yayo says that’s when Uncle Murda got on his “Brooklyn bulls**t” and told Ja Rule not to talk to him. And when Ja was reluctant to sit down, Uncle Murda stood up, ready for an altercation.
Yayo says it was he who actually tried to de-escalate the situation. Warning Uncle Murda that if they were to be removed from the flight, they would likely be banned from flying in the future.
He also says that Uncle Murda made it clear that he wanted an issue with Ja Rule. So Ja made a scene intentionally so that he could be escorted off the plane.
Yayo noted that Ja Rule knew he would be in immediate danger upon getting off the plane. Because they were scheduled to land at JFK airport in New York, just a short drive from 50 Cent’s neighborhood of South Side Jamaica, Queens.
Ja Rule, of course, had an entirely different recollection of events. He says that he was the aggressor and even threw a pillow at Tony Yayo amid the entire melee.
Part 2 of Yayo & Vlad’s interview is set to air in the coming days.
