It’s been a week since Bad Bunny’s iconic halftime performance during Super Bowl 60. But it still has the entertainment industry buzzing. Well, at least most of the industry. Some people, like Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker, haven’t had the same reaction as others.

Devin Booker Sounds Off About Bad Bunny’s Halftime Performance

The NBA took over Los Angeles for its Annual All-Star Weekend on February 13-15. And Booker was selected as an All-Star for the fifth time. During his media availability during All-Star weekend, Booker was asked his thoughts on Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. And his response was a little shady, to say the least.

“I’m Mexican. I didn’t watch to be completely honest,” The Suns star said of Bad Bunny’s performance.

Fans on social media were displeased with Booker’s comments, to say the least.

“That’s the hate we as Boricuas are used to. Sad that he is choosing hate over love,” one person wrote on Instagram.

“I’m Mexican? Ok, so what TF does that mean?” another user added.

“He’s in his feelings,” a third user chimed in.

Booker and Bad Bunny may not share a cultural heritage. But they do share a dating history. Both have previously dated model Kendall Jenner, who is the older sister of Kylie Jenner and the younger sister of Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian.

Even without Booker, watching Bad Bunny’s halftime show, his performance put up historic viewership numbers. The performance averaged 128.2 million viewers. Placing the performance as the fourth most-watched halftime show in U.S. history.
