Cardi B is continuing her legal efforts to collect the nearly $4 million she’s owed from blogger Tasha K.
On Feb. 27, Cardi’s attorneys filed a motion in Tasha K’s Florida bankruptcy case requesting permission to review her bank records and personal financial documents in person. The filing also asks that Tasha’s companies — Yelen Entertainment LLC and Stash Money Works LLC — disclose earnings from her YouTube and social media platforms. A judge has not yet ruled on the motion.
The latest development comes a year after U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Scott M. Grossman approved Tasha K’s multi-year repayment plan. Under that plan, Tasha is required to pay Cardi $1.2 million over five years, with the remaining balance due afterward. She was also ordered to refrain from making defamatory statements about the Bronx rapper.
Cardi originally sued Tasha K in 2019 for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress after the blogger made allegations involving prostitution and drug use. In January 2022, Cardi won the case and was awarded more than $3.8 million in damages.
Tasha filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2023, but Cardi has continued to challenge the blogger’s financial disclosures. In early 2024, Cardi alleged that Tasha was hiding money in offshore accounts.
In a statement, Tasha K’s attorney said, “Ms. Kebe is currently in compliance with her confirmed Chapter 11 plan and intends to continue complying with all of its terms. Nothing is pending before the Court that requires additional action from Ms. Kebe beyond fulfilling her obligations under the confirmed plan, which she is doing.”
With the new motion now before the court, the long-running legal dispute between Cardi B and Tasha K appears far from over.
Cardi B is demanding blogger Tasha K show up for an examination of her finances in person, and to turn over her bank records … just months after the two ended their battle over millions of dollars owed, TMZ has learned.
