Lil Poppa’s funeral will be livestreamed on YouTube so that fans, friends, and family members who cannot attend the service in person can still pay their respects.
On Wednesday (March 4), the late rapper’s sister, Orieon, announced that the public service will take place on March 7 at a church in his hometown of Jacksonville beginning at 10 a.m. The ceremony will also be broadcast live on Lil Poppa’s official YouTube channel, allowing supporters around the world to watch the service.
Security will be strictly enforced at the venue. According to the announcement, phones, recording devices, purses, and bags will not be permitted inside the church during the service.
Lil Poppa passed away on Feb. 18 in Georgia at the age of 25. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office later determined that the cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His death came shortly after he was involved in a single-car accident.
The livestream gives fans an opportunity to honor the rising Jacksonville artist and reflect on the impact he made through his music and connection with supporters.
