Rap artist Lloyd Banks is unhappy with the current state of the New York Knicks.
Lloyd Banks Calls Out Knicks Head Coach Mike Brown
After their loss to the Houston Rockets on Tuesday Night (March 31), the Knicks are on a three-game losing streak. And it could not happen at a worse time, as they are just weeks away from kicking off what they hope is a deep playoff run. And fans are searching for answers and accountability.
One of those fans is Lloyd Banks. After the loss on Tuesday, Banks took to social media and appeared to put the Knicks’ head coach on the hot seat.
“For some strange reason…I don’t hear enough talk about the coach. I wonder why,” Banks wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday.
One fan in the comments section of the post put the blame on the players. Noting that Mike Brown can’t go out and score the basketball. But he disagreed. And doubled down on his criticism of the Knicks head coach.
“When there’s 4 players that have more shots than your 2nd option, it’s a coaching issue…we can’t be watching the same game,” he added.
The Knicks currently sit in third place in the Eastern Conference behind the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons. With less than a month to go in the regular season and trailing by seven games, it’s probably too late for New York to catch the Pistons for the top spot. However, trailing the Celtics by just 2.5 games in the standings, getting the second seed in the Eastern Conference is still in the cards.
The Knicks will have a chance to break their losing skid when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday (April 1).
