As a Charlotte native, rap star DaBaby is a huge fan of his hometown Hornets. So, of course, he was in attendance at the Spectrum Center. For their huge game against the Miami Heat on Tuesday Night (April 14).

Video of DaBaby at Hornets & Heat Game Goes Viral

In a video shared by LegionHoops on X, the rapper is joined by two female companions. And the three of them seem to be having a great time. As they feed DaBaby’s courtside cocktails while he takes in the action.

“This is how we do it, baby, Charlotte,” DaBaby says in the video.

He also takes the time out to promote his new album, Be More Grateful, which was released on January 30

Once the clip went viral on social media, fans went crazy with their reactions.

“He corny af, I hate he a fan. ” ‘Cause where you were when we were the worst team in the league, cornball?” one Hornets fan asked on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Dude is the logo for the lameness of today’s rap game lol …90s kids man we had it good,” a second user chimed in.

“He looks more focused than the players,” a third user chimed in.

The Hornets and Heat were in a win-or-go-home situation on Tuesday. The loser of that matchup would be eliminated from playoff contention. Thankfully for DaBaby and the rest of the Charlotte faithful, the Hornets emerged victorious with an overtime victory.

This was largely due to the heroics of Coby White, who hit the game-tying three at the end of the fourth quarter, and Lamelo Ball, who hit the go-ahead bucket in the final seconds of the overtime period.

They will now move on and face the loser of tonight’s Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers game for a chance to officially secure their spot in the playoffs.
