A legal dispute between Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and his former partner Shaniqua Tompkins is headed back to court, with both sides clashing over past agreements and there validity.
Tompkins recently filed a response to 50 Cent’s $1 million lawsuit, arguing that the alleged life-rights and book deals at the center of the case were never legitimate. In a sworn affidavit, she claims she was pressured into signing documents and points to a 2005 incident tied to the production of Get Rich or Die Tryin’ as the foundation of her argument.
According to Tompkins, the situation turned physical after she signed paperwork using “Jane Doe.” She alleges that Jackson reacted aggressively and threatened her, which she says undermines any claim that later agreements were entered into willingly.
She also claims she never received full details of the film agreement or compensation. Her attorneys argue that subsequent deals, including a 2007 book agreement, were influenced by ongoing pressure and should not be enforced.
Fif’s legal team disputes those claims, saying the case is strictly about a contract breach tied to the book deal. His attorney argues that Tompkins is introducing unrelated allegations from years earlier to avoid enforcement.
The judge will ultimately decide whether the agreements are enforceable or if claims of coercion invalidate them.
