Offset sat down with Creators Inc in his first interview since being shot outside of a Florida casino.
Offset Speaks Out Following Casino Incident
The shooting has not appeared to slow Offset down. Less than a week after the shooting, the rapper performed at a concert. When asked why he has not taken a moment to relax following the incident, Offset said that the shooting inspired him to go even harder.
“I gotta keep pushing like the Energizer Bunny, man. Gotta keep pushing, I ain’t got time to be slowing s**t down,” he said in a clip caught by TMZ.
Offset was asked how he made it to Los Angeles less than a week after being shot outside of the casino. He explained that he took a private jet and had them bring a bed for him to lie down on after the incident.
He also expressed the importance of having a “gladiator mentality.”
“Gladiator mentality, man, you know? The show doesn’t stop at the end of the day. I was blessed enough to be able to still move, you know what I mean? I’m still moving,” he continued.
“I ain’t want nobody to be feeling sorry for me. People get shot every day, bro. I’m blessed, and I can keep pushing, so why would I just sit down? Gotta keep pushing, gotta keep going.”

To bring things up to speed, Offset and rap artist Lil Tjay had a dispute over an alleged gambling debt that the former Migos member never settled.
Tjay and several of his associates ambushed Offset outside the Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel. And one of the associates pulled out a gun and shot the rapper amid the melee.
Nobody has been arrested in connection with the rapper’s shooting. But the feds have launched an investigation and released photos of the suspects and getaway vehicles.
