It’s no secret Kanye West has struggled to retain concert dates. However, on Thursday (June 4th), a judge ruled that despite contention, at least two of West’s shows will go on as planned.
What’s Going On With Kanye West’s Shows?
The Central Jewish Council filed a lawsuit seeking to ban the rapper from performing in Arnhem on June 6th and 8th. Their argument stems from his prior antisemitic statements, which they say pose a threat to public safety.
Other local officials in various countries have used this argument to get other Kanye West concerts canceled as well. However, Arnhem officials have maintained support for the embattled rappers shows.
In a prior report from us, we detailed the Government’s stance last month. Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Bart Van den Brink explained that there’s “no legal basis” to ban Ye from entering the Netherlands to perform.
Now, the verdict has come, and the Dutch judge has ruled the show can go on. According to SkyNews, the Judge explained his reasoning.
“There are no indications that West’s presence in the coming days will lead to concrete public order dangers,” a statement from the court said.
The Jewish council argued this ruling promoted antisemitism but were rebuffed and told they couldn’t appeal.

Did West Lose Any Other Shows?
Shows in Italy, India, Poland, France, and a full cancellation of Wireless Festival in the UK. Most of those dates were canceled due to “public safety concerns.” Additionally, the Turkish Government criticized West for evoking religious themes during his performance of “I Am God.” West’s Tampa Bay show is still scheduled to happen, but Florida Senator Rick Scott is trying to get it stopped.
