Legendary producer Timbaland doesn’t appear to be a fan of the comments T.I. recently made about doing a potential Verzuz.
Timbaland Reacts to T.I.’s Verzuz Comments
T.I. recently appeared on the Joe Budden Podcast to promote his upcoming album, Kill The King. One of the topics that came up was T.I. doing a potential Verzuz. T.I. shut down the idea and called doing a Verzuz “a poor people activity.”
“I don’t want to indulge in that side of life anymore. I’m just not interested, bruh. Like, ain’t no money over there bruh. That’s a poor people activity,” Tip said in a clip caught by Big_Business on X.
He also added: “I’m 45, bro. What do I look like going back and forth with a man like that for what, bro? Like, why?”
Timbaland, who is one of the Verzuz co-creators along with Swizz Beats, did not appear to agree with the comments made by the Atlanta rapper. He commented on a clip of the post that was shared by The Shade Room with a simple “Huh???”
Many of the fans in the comments section of the post also appeared to agree with Timbaland. And accused T.I. of being a hypocrite. Due to the fact that he was engaged in a bitter rap feud with 50 Cent earlier this year, after challenging the rap star to a Verzuz matchup.
Budden and his podcast crew also disagreed with the comments made by T.I. And also insisted that it wasn’t a “back and forth” like he suggested. But insisted that the platform is more of a “celebration of music.”
