Keefe D, a former high ranking member of the Southside Crips, is already in hot water. Prosecutors allege he orchestrated Tupac Shakur’s murder on that fateful day in 1996. But now, they say they have evidence to connect him to another high profile murder in the rap world.
Who Did Keefe D Allegedly Kill?
Reportedly, prosecutors have gathered over 4,000 pages of evidence that connects Keefe D to the assassination of The Notorious B.I.G. Keefe’s legal team is already fighting to get evidence that connects him to Shakur, such as his tell all book Compton Street Legend, barred from investigation. They also assert that the Biggie Smalls documents are too much for the defense to comb through and therefore serve as sabotage to their case. Keefe, who’s been locked up since 2023, unintentionally helped warm up the cold case. Alleged confessions in his book and several interviews with various YouTubers alluded to his involvement.
Since his incarceration, he has plead not guilty and maintains that he is innocent. The prosecutors assert that Keefe is the mastermind behind Pac’s murder after the legendary rapper got into a fight with his nephew Orlando Anderson, a suspected shooter. Keefe then called for the hit, which left Shakur dead at a redlight while traveling through Paradise, Nevada. Anderson denied his involvement up until the day he died, when he perished in a gang shooting just two years later.
In Keefe’s memoir, he details the fight Pac and Anderson allegedly got into at the MGM Grand where both attended a Mike Tyson fight. He also mentions he rode in the Cadillac where the shots at Pac came from. His defense team is arguing that a prior agreement with the LAPD omits his interviews and book from use as evidence against him.
His next court date is on June 30th where the validity of the evidence will get a ruling. If so, it appears the defense knows its chances of proving his innocence are slim.
Prior to these documents, rumors circulated that the currently incarcerated Sean Diddy Combs had a hand in Biggie’s murder. Those claims are not proven or substantiated, but Combs’ other crimes have raised major suspicion.
Prosecutors allegedly have recorded jail phone audio of Keefe D bragging about Tupac Shakur’s killing, according to the New York Post.
