Floyd Mayweather recently addressed the nonstop speculation about his finances during a candid appearance on Cam’ron’s It Is What It Is.
When Cam asked if his recent exhibition fights were desperate attempts to pay the bills, Mayweather jumped on the opportunity to set the record straight.
“Nobody has taken none of my properties away from me,” he said. “I still got all my houses, I still got everything.. My mother, my whole family, their bills are still paid. Still pay all my employees.”

The 50-0 champion also pushed back against what he believes is a long-running obsession with seeing him lose. Mayweather said fans have spent decades buying his fights because he consistently delivered, yet many now seem eager to believe stories that he’s broke.
“The Black community… have been paying money for years to come see me fight,” Mayweather said. “They bet it on Floyd ’cause I prove that I’m 100% when I get in that ring… They believe in me.
“But after they go home, and got everything they want, they’re praying on my downfall. We don’t want to see Floyd win nothing.”
Mayweather Faces Legal Troubles
Over the past several months, Mayweather’s name has surfaced in multiple legal disputes. Court records in Nevada include felony allegations connected to bounced checks tied to a luxury watch purchase. Separate lawsuits accuse him of leaving unpaid balances at luxury jewelry stores and upscale apartment properties.
He’s also pursuing a massive $340 million lawsuit against former broadcast partner Showtime and former executive Stephen Espinoza, alleging pay-per-view revenue from past fights was improperly diverted. Other court filings involve disputes over past financial management and investment deals that allegedly cost him millions.
Those headlines have fueled social media speculation about The Money Team’s figurehead and whether his figures still measure up.
Despite the lawsuits and constant internet debate, Mayweather continues living the same luxury lifestyle that made him famous, regularly showing off exotic cars, designer jewelry, private jets and stacks of cash while booking lucrative exhibition bouts around the world.
As far as he’s concerned, everyone should stop ocket watching.
“For the last 30 years ain’t nobody seen me in no soup line,” Mayweather said. “I ain’t been out in the streets begging like my hands is cups, so at the end of the day I’m good.”
