A reconciliation between rap stars Kid Cudi and Kanye West could be on the horizon.

The Day & Night creator recently hosted a Q&A for his fans on social media. One fan asked him if there was any chance that Cudi and Ye could “work together” again. Cudi responded, revealing that the two of them are working on “rebuilding” their friendship.

“I’m sure we will, yeah. Right now we’re rebuilding our friendship,” Cudi wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday (July 19). “I hit him a week ago to check in on him; today he hit me to check on me. No work talk. Just seeing how I was doing. It was nice.”

Of course, fans had a lot to say about a potential reunion between Cudi and Ye.

“The day ya drop a track or album together. You already know everyone is going to be jamming,” one user wrote in response to Cudi’s comments.

“Oh my god, thank you for forgiving him, Cudi. You are actually the best duo oat,” a second user chimed in.

“You just made my day. You both are legends and influence my art so much I got so much love,” a third user remarked.

Several issues led to the rift between Ye and Cudi. But the main reason that the two of them fell out was due to Cudi’s relationship with comedian Pete Davidson. Who was previously dating Kanye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. Because of their friendship, Ye removed Cudi from his 2022 album, Donda 2.

However, it appears that the two are working on rekindling their friendship.
