One question has been on everyone’s mind as the Gabrielle Cheyenne/Usher saga has gone on. Will Usher respond? Last night at his concert, we got an answer.
What Did Usher Say?
The incident in question stems from when a woman picked to go on stage curved Usher as he tried to perform his seduction routine for “Can U Handle It.”
The woman, who looked visibly uncomfortable, was asked to leave the stage, dumbfounding the confused Grammy winner. After this, she soaked up her 15 minutes of fame, doing interviews and posting several statuses about the incident.
She made it clear she was not there to see the hitmaker and went on stage because “who wouldn’t?” However, she thought Chris Brown would serenade her, not Usher.
Fast forward and Usher decided to react in a cheeky way at his next show Birmingham, Alabama. In a video obtained from the next stop on his Raymond & Brown tour, he had one simple request for the crowd.
“Now before we get started, don’t bring ya a** up here if you don’t wanna be here,” Usher tells the crowd. “God don’t like ugly, but he most certainly don’t feel too good about pretty privilege either.”
This was a clear dig at Cheyenne, who boasted about having pretty privilege on social media, saying people were criticizing her cuz they not cute.
Later on, Usher made sure the fan who got on stage wanted to be there.
“I’m just looking for one sexy lady tonight that wanna share the stage with me,” Usher said. “Hey Chris [Brown] you find one [on the left], imma take my time to find one [on the right].”
This time, Usher’s lady for the night understood the assignment, fully embracing the spectacle.
Did Cheyenne Respond Back?
Meanwhile, Cheyenne caught wind of the video, responding on Instagram notes with laughing emojis. Her boyfriend also spoke on the matter, saying that Usher had nothing on him and he let his girl go on stage unbothered.
Sure man.
There’s one thing for sure though, he’s gonna vet these ladies more thoroughly before bringing them on stage. And considering the expectation, they’re sure to show out if they get chose.
😅 Usher made sure to let the crowd at his next tour stop know NOT to come on stage if they don't want to be there!
