Fans and artists have routinely got too excited when a major rapper or pop star jumps in their DMs to work. Over the weekend another person felt the consequences the hard way.
What Did ASAP Rocky Do?
On Instagram, a graphic designer named Allan Peters got a DM from Rocky asking for artwork.
“Good morning Allan,” Rocky messaged. “How much do you charge for brand logo revisions. Assuming you would be willing to do so, I’d be honored, love your work. God bless.”
Peters seemed to get ahead of himself, posting the screenshot of the DM on Instagram in disbelief.
Rocky got word of the post and didn’t not appreciate private conversations leaked.
“This is just distasteful, well I guess we won’t be working, best of luck buddy,” Rocky commented.
Peters immediately deleted the post but that didn’t stop fans from clowning on his mistake.
“The amount of people who get insane opportunities through social media and absolutely blow it by being ignorant is alarming,” one user posted.
“bro could’ve posted the collab after the work was done and kept the bag and the clout,” another user posted.
“It’s odd that someone with so much experience would even post a screenshot of the DM of A$AP Rocky with excitement. Dude has over a 1M followers and worked and designed logos for Marvel, Disney, WWE. I’m sure it’s not a huge loss but odd,” another user posted.
Peters is well renowned designer who’s worked with many major brands.
The incident harkens back to a similar thing that happened when a fan got a dm from Rihanna, posted it online, and Rihanna never spoke to them again.

Rocky was interviewed by Jason Lee and apparently said (according to the trailer) that he’d fight Drake.
He also discussed how Rihanna held him down when his father died and while he was locked up in a Swedish prison.
