OMB Bloodbath couldn’t beat the case a third time. The Texas rapper was found guilty of murder according to a jury.

The jury convicted her and alleged gang leader of 100 Percent Third Ward, Shaquille Richards, on charges of murder in aid of racketeering and using a firearm during a violent crime.

Prosecutors accused Bloodbath of ordering and funding the 2017 murder of 53-year-old Sam Johnson. This allegedly came while serving time in the Harris County Jail with connections to the 100 Percent Third Ward gang.

They claim she orchestrated the hit through phone calls from inside the jail, using her position in the gang to coordinate the murder.

However, the case became flimsy due to the prosecution’s reliance on Bloodbath’s location tracker on the cell phone to prove her guilt. However, the defense pointed out that cell phone location technology is inconsistent as cell towers can glitch out due to network connections, density, weather, signal strength, and other factors.

Prosecutors have tried to get Bloodbath locked up since the beginning of 2026, where she got a mistrial after the jury couldn’t come to a consensus.

Rather than accept that hung jury, federal prosecutors tried again due to the legal loophole of being able to re-attempt if there’s no acquittal.

The second trial was scheduled for May 2026, but it also failed to produce a conviction, leading prosecutors to file a superseding indictment to serve up a third trial.

On their third try, prosecutors won out and the case is now closed.

How Did They Get A Verdict?

This time, prosecutors leaned on the reported gang rivalry between 100 Percent Third Ward and YSB. The evidence presented honed in on the October 2017 attack in which several alleged 103 gang members traveled into rival territory armed and dangerous. Investigators alleged the shooters opened fire after identifying a suspected rival gang member. Their target survived, but Sam Johnson was killed, a resident of the area. Prosecutors say the victim was not involved in either gang and was caught in the crossfire.

Her sentencing will come at a future date.
