The Breakfast Club has responded to Dame Dash insulting them for reporting on his possible bankruptcy. He called out Loren Lorosa specifically, and her and Charlamagne didn’t take it sitting down.
The Breakfast Club Vs. Dame Dash
During the show, CThaGod and Loren address Dash’s comments, taking major issue with one part in particular.
Dash opened his comments as follows.
“My girl calls me in the middle of a meeting and she forwards me something from the darkskin chick from the Breakfast Club,” Dash said.
He then called Lorosa out for what he deems as consistently reporting the negative.
“Why are you the voice of everything bad and nothing good, Loren,” Dash said. ” You’re a Black woman, why would you want to amplify bad stuff for Black people but not amplify anything good for this Black man. It’s like a case study on stupidity, or alleged devil worship, I don’t know.”
The Breakfast Club responded immediately, with Charlamagne taking exception with the darkskin comment after Dash proved he knew her name later in the clip.
Loren said it didn’t bother her, because “she’s 36 year old and been the dark skin chick for a long time now.”
But Charlamagne wasn’t having it.
“When’s the last time you seen Dash around two women with melanin at the same time,” Charlamagne said. “If we referred to [your artist] Nicky Licky, or your baby mama, or your wife as white skin chicks, I don’t think he would like that. [So] don’t do that.”
Loren agreed, saying she felt it was a low blow shot at her. She also said they reported that the bankruptcy thing wasn’t gonna happen in the past. More information comes to light when another co-host alleges that Dash used to supply Loren with information and had a working relationship.
The co-host gets fired up, saying “when you [was helping him] you wasn’t the dark skin chick then, you was Loren.”
Lorosa makes it clear there’s no smoke with Dash though, despite the insults, calling it “part of the job.”
