The truth about Fenix Flexin and his new song has finally come to the light. Many people accused Flexin of using AI to make the song, but he vehemently contested it many times. However, one Instagram comment ended up breaking the camel’s back.
Instagram user gr8music8803 got it out of him, saying that because Tyga admitted to using AI for his album, so he should too.
“Never said I didn’t use AI, I said it had nun to do w recording process,” Fenix posted. “I didn’t even know what da app was till we mixed it and erbody started commenting. Ain’t nothing wrong w using new technology as a too keep up with the times or get left behind.”
However, in a prior Instagram exchange, when pressed about using AI, Fenix denied it was used at all.
“No sirrrrrr, recorded same as all music I do,” Fenix posted. “Only difference is auto tune reverb and my fake UK accent, lol. Plastic smiles on sunset blvd, iykyk.”
He also denied the accusations in an interview with Andrew Callaghan for Channel 5. Additionally, the producer of the song, Purps on the Beat, denied it was made with AI.
However, a fellow producer Medasin accused the song of being made with Trebolo’s AI.

What Does This Mean For AI In Music?
There’s already record labels with A&Rs who fully sign AI artists and the technology behind them. In fact, yes, most record labels are fully in on creating AI music. AI artists, again not real people, have charted on ITunes as well.
The controversial nature of AI used in music will only grow as record labels and artists decide to cut corners and use it. It’s up to you how to respond.
