Lil Nas X has had many struggles as of recent, and it appears things have not improved. Tragically, this week, he revealed his mother has passed away.
“RIP TO THE BADDEST EVER! LOVE U FOREVER MOMMY. this one’s gonna hurt,” Lil Nas X wrote on Instagram alongside several pictures of them.
There is no information publicly available about Hill’s cause of death at the time of this writing.
Lil Nas X spoke on his mother’s struggles for Hot 97 back in 2021.
“But y’all n***** don’t know how many nights I’ve cried myself to sleep feeling guilty because nothing I tried would help my mom,” Lil Nas X said. “Paint me as the bad guy all you want, but at the end of the day, you don’t know me outside of this internet s***.” “She’s an addict, so we don’t have the closest relationship. Even trying to get her better, things didn’t quite work out. But there’s still love.”
Nas X had his own struggles recently as he was granted a two-year mental health diversion program in connection to his recent battery case involving the Los Angeles Police Department.
“I’m thankful,” he said, before adding that he’s “just going through the flow of life.”
When asked about his current treatment and mindset, he kept it simple: “I’m here, baby.”
The diversion program will allow Lil Nas X to focus on mental health treatment rather than face traditional legal penalties, provided he successfully completes the program over the next two years.
We at According2HipHop extend our condolences to Lil Nas X and his loved ones.
