Last week, Billboard-charting rapper BigXThaPlug had his show at the Country Rising festival in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada canceled due to a personal emergency. However, it was revealed the cancellation was due to being arrested for DWI, Marijuana, and firearm charges.
Now, he’s trying to clear a prior charge before dealing with his latest ones.
According to a report from All Hip Hop, BigXThaPlug plead guilty for carrying a firearm illegally, receiving a six-month deferred adjudication sentence this week in Dallas.
The plea is for an August 2025 weapon charge after police pulled him over for a missing front license plate. He was told to surrender his glock, which was found during the arrest.
He’ll have the conviction removed from his record if he completes the terms of his sentence without any additional violations.
It appears BigX may be trying to clear his slate before additional charges from a separate incident come down.
BigX Arrested Again
According to a report by Fox9 in court records show the rapper was arrested by the Allen Police Department and booked into the Collin County Jail in Texas on Friday, August 21st.
BigX has been charged with driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession of less than 2 ounces, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
This is his third charge in the past couple of years, with one of his prior ones being dismissed, and the other resulting in a guilty plea that could result in dismissal with 6 months of a clean record.
