André “3000” Benjamin is adding another acting role to his résumé.
The OutKast legend has officially joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming live-action series Scooby-Doo: Origins, which is scheduled to premiere in 2027. Netflix has not yet revealed details about Benjamin’s character, leaving his role in the mystery under wraps.
The series will serve as a modern reimagining of the classic Scooby-Doo franchise, exploring the beginnings of Mystery Inc. and how Shaggy, Daphne, Velma, Fred and Scooby first came together. The story follows the group as they investigate a supernatural mystery surrounding a lost Great Dane puppy during a summer at camp.
Benjamin joins a growing cast that includes Mckenna Grace as Daphne, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred, along with Paul Walter Hauser, Cathy Moriarty and several others.
Scooby-Doo: Origins is set to stream exclusively on Netflix in 2027.
