Usher and Chris Brown have been on tour for most of the summer, but it appears a big gap is coming. Over the weekend, it was announced the duo were cancelling their October tour dates to “prioritize the well-being of the touring party and crew.”

“Following an extensive run of sold-out stadium shows on one of the year’s biggest tours, the event promoter has made the difficult decision to cancel select upcoming dates on the R&B Tour to prioritize the health and well-being of the touring party and crew,” the promoter wrote in a statement. “The demands of a tour of this length and scale are significant, and these adjustments will allow the tour to continue safely and sustainably through the remaining scheduled performances.”
Dates include shows in Baltimore, South Carolina, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati.
However, reading between the lines, it may be because Brown is due across the pond to answer for an affray case.
Back in July, Chris Brown pleaded guilty to one count of affray stemming from an incident at a London night club. The charge has a maximum sentence of three years.
He was able to get charges of assault, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon dropped with a plea deal.
Chris Brown is also facing allegations of death threats and child neglect from his ex Diamond Brown, who he’s been going back and forth with on social media.
Diamond Brown accused Chris of trying to scare her significant other.
Diamond brought the accusations to light.
“He has made death threats against my most recent boyfriend, and continued threats to not only him, but also to his twin brother. I understand that he has also had third parties make threats,” Diamond said.
Brown denied the accusations but Diamond pulled up with receipts, leading to doubt over his defense.
Additionally, he recently settled a lawsuit that left a housekeeper permanently disfigured after his dogs mauled her.
