50 Cent is among a dozen celebrities and artists who will receive a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2020.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Selection Committee announced the list of celebs getting a star next year.
In the music field, 50 Cent will receive a star in honor of his work in music, film and television. The rap mogul has garnered success on the small screen with his hit show Power, which is going into its final season in August. TV Host Wendy Williams will also be honored on the Walk of Fame in 2020. R&B singer Alicia Keys, who sung the hook on 50’s 2012 song “New Day,” will get a star as well.
“This year’s choices were particularly unique. We were able to recognize the talents of 35 artists who have already built a legacy here in Hollywood,” said Selection Committee Chair and Walk of Famer Vin Di Bona via a press release. “Also, we were able to celebrate many new talented artists who’ve touched our hearts in film, television, radio and a variety of musical categories.”
Other Hip-Hop artist that have received the honor are Snoop & Ice Cube. Queen Latifah received her star in January 2006, followed by Diddy in 2008. Pharrell Williams received his star in 2014 and LL Cool J was awarded their stars in 2016.
Congratulations to 50 Cent on being chosen for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
