Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine sit down and speak about the behind the scenes workings of Dr.Dre’s classic album 2001. In a sit-down interview with Apple Music, the Beats co-founders reflect on the process behind its creation, including hits such as “Forget About Dre” and “Still D.R.E.”
On the 20th Anniversary of Dr. Dre’s classic comeback album this documentary reveals that Dr. Dre wanted “The Next Episode” to be the first single. Jimmy Iovine convinced Dre that he didn’t have the first single yet and the first single needed to be made. Dre says that Steve Stoute connected Jay Z with the “Still D.R.E” instrumental and Jay Z had the song back to them in 24 hours.
