Carmen Bryan, the former girlfriend of Nas and mother of his daughter, has filed a lawsuit accusing rapper N.O.R.E. of sexually assaulting her at a nightclub in 1999.
According to the lawsuit, the alleged incident took place during a celebration connected to N.O.R.E.’s album Melvin Flynt – Da Hustler. Bryan claims N.O.R.E. was intoxicated when he physically overpowered her and forcibly penetrated her with his fingers without her consent.
Bryan alleges that she repeatedly told him to stop before other people inside the nightclub intervened and pulled him away from her.
The lawsuit claims Bryan then ran outside while shaken and crying, but N.O.R.E. allegedly followed her and repeatedly asked, “Don’t you know who I am?” while continuing to make inappropriate comments.
Bryan further alleges that N.O.R.E. later apologized after realizing she was Nas’ girlfriend and the mother of his child.
She also claims she told Jay-Z about the alleged assault and that he wanted to confront N.O.R.E., but she asked him not to become involved.
Bryan’s attorney says the lawsuit is seeking accountability for what she describes as decades of emotional trauma and public humiliation stemming from the alleged incident.
At the time of the initial report, N.O.R.E. had not publicly responded to the allegations or requests for comment.
The accusations have not been proven in court.
