Media executive and Hip Hop icon Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson announced via IG that his company G Unit Films is actively developing a new series, Power Origins, a prequel to the hit Starz drama Power that has resulted in 3 spin offs from the original.
In his post 50 wrote ““You asked, I answered. Young Ghost and Tommy coming your way,” teasing the series that will chronicle the rise of the show’s main characters Ghost, Tommy and Kanan which was previously portrayed by the producer himself.
This was not the only Power-related news this week as Starz announced ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ will end after Season 4. The final season will consist of 20 episodes broken in 2 parts and will premiere June 7 and September 6.
The Power series has been a hit with fans since its debut a decade ago and has served as an acting vehicle for many Hip Hop stars including Redman, Method Man, Uncle Murda, Kendrick Lamar, Joey BadA$$, Freddie Gibbs, Kidd Kidd, and Mary J Blige.
