J. Cole has a new initiative to aid victims of Hurricane Florence in his hometown of Fayetteville, NC. The Dreamville Foundation is raising funds which will go toward “hot food stations placed throughout the city, temporary housing options for families, and stocking of food pantries/shelters.” In addition, the foundation promises to support “other local non profits” in Fayetteville. Donate to the cause here.
According to Dreamville’s website, over 19,000 people are currently living in shelters in North Carolina from the effects of Hurricane Florence. A record-breaking 30 inches of rainfall has also affected the state with even more flooding expected throughout the weekend.
J. Cole’s first-ever Dreamville Festival was slated to happen last weekend, but was ultimately postponed due to the hurricane.
