Drake’s new album, Iceman, is officially on the way. So you know that the Joe Budden Podcast crew had a lot to say about the forthcoming project.
Joe Budden Predicts, J. Cole & LeBron Will Catch Heat on ‘Iceman’
During the Wednesday (April 22) episode of the podcast, Budden predicted that Drizzy would target J.Cole on his new album.
“Yes I think [J. Cole] is getting dissed. You can hide in the China league all you want n***a,” Budden said referencing Cole’s professional basketball contract with the Nanjing Monkey Kings of the Chinese Basketball Association. “Them n****s love Drake too,” he added.
Podcast member Ish then asks the question if Drake would “mention” his opps or actually “diss” them, which led to a brief debate about the difference.
Co-host Marc Lamont Hill said that he believed that there would be “honest” disses toward Cole. He then gives a scenario where Drake could say that Cole’s bowing out was “f*****d up,” but being understanding of why he did it.
Crew member Ice then asked who would catch more disses between Cole and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. The crew almost unanimously agreed that it would be LeBron.

Drake’s Beef With LeBron Explained
After being close friends for a number of years, several reports suggested that Drake was at odds with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. After he appeared at Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out Concert in 2024 amid their feud. Drake all but confirmed that after he covered up his LeBron James tattoo and replaced it with a jersey of Toronto native and reigning NBA Most Valuable Player, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
During a recent interview with Speedy Morman of Complex, King James finally broke his silence about where things stand between him and Drizzy.
While he didn’t really confirm whether or not there is a rift between him and the Grammy-winner, the four-time NBA MVP did say that he and Drake are in “different places” at this point in their lives.
“Always wish him the best. Obviously, different places right now. He’s doing his thing. I’m doing mine. But, it’s always love for sure,” James said to Morman.
Drake’s Iceman is scheduled to arrive on May 15.
