On Friday (Feb. 28), YoungBoy’s team posted on its company Instagram that Top would return with his new project More Leaks on March 7.
“Last project before TOP is back,” the company captioned the post.
More Leaks will serve as the rapper’s first drop of 2025, and comes after he released I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders back in December. Judging by the name, the project appears to be comprised of older songs that have leaked to the web at some point or another.
YoungBoy Returns After Numerous Legal Battles
It was announced that NBA YoungBoy, born Kentrell Gaulden is set to be released from prison on July 27, a few months earlier than predicted.
Gaulden was previously indicted by federal prosecutors in March 2021 after he was allegedly found with two guns during a music video shoot back in September 2020.
The controversial rapper previously agreed to a plea deal for a gun possession charge, as well as his involvement in a prescription medication fraud scheme.
In December, NBA YoungBoy’s team reached a global settlement of his charges after he also faced charges related to allegedly orchestrating a fraudulent prescription drug operation in Utah. He was arrested for allegedly arranging a fraudulent prescription drug ring while he was on house arrest in Huntsville, Utah, for federal weapon charges in April.
That deal appears to have since been amended, with YoungBoy receiving a sentencing reduction to include time served up until May 2024, meaning he will now be free this summer.
