Young Thug Confirms New Album On The Way
Thug has been teasing a new album “UY SCUTI,” for the last few weeks. And while his fans are still curious about what the name means, the “Lifestyle” creator did confirm that an album was on the way. On April 16 he took to social media to share the album’s website which is “iamuyscuti.com” adding the caption: “It’s time. Red Plant.” He also blessed fans with the album’s cover art as well as a merch line that will accompany the album.
This will be Young Thug’s first studio album since being released from prison last October 2024. The Atlanta Rap Star was the subject of the YSL RICO trial. Thug wasn’t found innocent. But the 15 years of probation he received was a slap on the wrist considering the 40 years he was facing.
Still despite remaining mum for the most part since being released, some people want to see him fall. The artist came under siege following the death of fellow Atlanta rapper Young Scooter. Scooter passed away after succumbing to injuries he sustained during a police chase in April. And in his moment of grief, Thug took to social media and retweeted a post from a user that featured a photo of Marissa Viverito, an investigator with the Atlanta Police Department who was involved in his trial. The post referred to her as the “Biggest liar in the DA office.”
Prosecutors ascertained that the rap star reposting the photo was a violation of his probation. And suggested that it was enough for him to be sent back to prison. However, Judge Reese Whitaker of Fulton County declined their motion.
