Amid his legal dispute over Not Like Us, Drake has seemed to gain an unlikely ally. That being Ye, formerly known as rap star, Kanye West. In a new interview with popular hip-hop blogger, DJ Akademiks, Ye came to Drizzy’s defense about UMG’s promotion of Kendrick’s hit song.
“It’s like family members that you don’t fuck with. Drake is a million times better than Kendrick and a million times more important,” he said.
“What Future and Young Thug have done with Drake, just culturally. That s**t last year, I couldn’t barely sit through that s**t. It s**t was insane. That s**t had Lucian Grainge, Universal, and Drake’s lawsuit written all over it. Drake needs to be my writer.”
