For many people, the LOX is one of the best rap groups of all time. The Yonkers-based group composed of Styles P, Sheek Louch, and Jadakiss have earned a reputation for their hard-hitting lyrics.

The LOX has become a staple in the hip-hop community. Which means their opinion holds a lot of value. The group recently appeared on UPROXX’s Sound Check. As part of the show, participants in the group were asked rapid-fire questions to choose between their favorite artists.

The LOX Choose Between Kendrick Lamar & J Cole

During their opinion, the group was asked to pick between J. Cole’s No Role Modelz or Kendrick Lamar’s Alright. Their pick may surprise you.

All three chose J Cole:

Jadakiss explained: “I love them both but Cole is more like my cloth.”

The other two members nodded in agreement with Jadakiss.

Cole has become a hot topic as of late. He was one of the targets in Kanye West’s recent barrage of bizarre social media posts. Ye took to X, formerly known as Twitter on April 1, to aim at Cole. In the post, he expresses his disdain for Cole’s music.

“I hate J Cole Music so much. It’s like between Kendrick and J Cole. I bet you industry plants asked J Cole to diss Drake then we would have been accosted with a J Cole Super Bowl commercial with no SZA song to save it,” Ye wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Yeezy founder also said: “No one listens to J Cole after losing their virginity.”

Drizzy and Kanye have had their separate problems in the past. However, Houston music mogul J. Prince played peacemaker between the two artists. He arranged a meeting between Ye and Drizzy During the time West’s Donda album was being recorded. Kanye said during that conversation, he expressed his disdain for J. Cole to Drake.

“When I met up with Drake during Donda most of the convo was me telling him he was hurting hip hop by giving J Cole a platform. I was saying how much I loved Future, he added.
